The Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA) concluded its 2005-2006 Reflections
Program. Reflections is
the arts achievement and recognition program sponsored by National PTA.
Students in grades K – 12 submit original art in the categories of visual
art, literature, photography, musical composition, dance
composition, and new this year film/video. This year's theme was "I
Wonder Why …" There is competition up to the national level, but
the emphasis is on participation. The first four categories are national
categories while dance composition and film/video are only competed within

The 69 entries designated as "Awards of Excellence" were judged to be
the most outstanding at the county level and have been submitted to Maryland
PTA for state-wide judging. The 49 entries also listed below have been
designated as "Honorable Mention". MCCPTA plans to honor all students
who had entries submitted to the county at an awards ceremony at the end of
April.
