The State of North Carolina has information on Block Scheduled High School Achievement (www.dpi.state.nc.us/block_scheduling/) from 1997.

Center for Applied Research and Educational Improvement's block scheduling resource (carei.coled.umn.edu/blockscheduling/bsmain.htm) has an FAQ, list of schools using block scheduling and a research report on this topic. There is also a listserv on block scheduling:
